Filmmaker Ami Horowitz recently interviewed attendees of a Kansas City "white privilege" conference. See how their thoughts compare to the views of actual black Americans when asked about "white privilege."
Ami quickly finds out that most black Americans agree that white privilege is complete bull shit despite the liberals that he interviews outside of the conference believing it is something everybody should be worried about.
Some seniors at one New York City City high school will not be able to attend their school's prom because it falls during a religious holiday.
Brooklyn Tech seniors will gather at Pier Sixty for the prom on June 3, but not all their classmates will be able to attend the big bash at the hot spot billed as the largest waterfront venue in Manhattan.
The party this year falls during Ramadan, a month-long time of religious fasting and prayer for observant Muslims.
"Obviously the date wasn't the best date," Pakeza Sahbbir, a senior who will be not attending, said. "You're not suppose to listen to music during Ramadan, so that's why it's not really allowed."
In an online petition, students are asking school officials to move the prom to another day so that everyone can participate. About 1,300 students go to Brooklyn Tech, but the school does not track religious affiliation.
"I know how it feels to fast," student Saima Afrin said. "I feel very tired throughout the day, so I won't want to go out. I'd sleep and stuff."
In an effort to accommodate everyone, school officials said they won't serve food at the prom until 9 p.m., after fasting ends at sundown.
The principal also met with the Muslim Student Association Tuesday to make sure this never happens again.
"If they changed (the date), it's going to loose a lot of money," student Nafin Rahman said. "So I don't think they want to lose a lot of money. Plus it's already really expensive."
Gunmen opened fire on two buses and a truck carrying Coptic Christians in Minya, Egypt on Friday, killing at least 26, including children. Some 26 people were also injured in the attack.
The group of between eight and 10 gunmen approached the convoy in three four-wheel-drive pickup trucks before opening fire, according to local media reports and the Egyptian Interior Ministry.
"They used automatic weapons," Essam el-Bedaiwy, governor of Minya told state television as cited by AFP.
Security chiefs established a perimeter around the scene and launched a hunt for the attackers, setting up dozens of roadblocks in the area and sending out patrols to scour the desert road.
The Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmad al-Tayeb believes the attack was intended to destabilize the country. Al-Azhar is a center of Islamic learning in Egypt that dates back more than 1,000.
"I call on Egyptians to unite in the face of this brutal terrorism," al-Tayeb said while on a visit to Germany, as cited by Reuters.
The shooting, which occurred on the eve of Ramadan, happened as the victims travelled from Beni Suef province to the Coptic Orthodox Anba Samuel monastery near the southern city of Minya, 250km (155 miles) south of Cairo, according to local security sources, cited by Haaretz.
There is no immediate claim of responsibility. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi called an emergency meeting of security officials in the wake of Friday’s attack, Reuters reports.
Al-Bedaiwy confirmed the preliminary death toll, reports Reuters.
Ambulances dispatched from the cities of Beni Suef and Minya are transporting victims to local hospitals in Adwa, Minya, Maghagha, according to local news outlet Youm7.
The US Embassy in Cairo warned of an imminent but unspecified terrorist attack on the night of May 24.
“The Embassy is aware of a potential threat posted on a website by the Hassm Group, a known terrorist organization, suggesting some kind of unspecified action this evening,” the Egypt mission said in a statement.
The three-month state of emergency, declared in the wake of the Palm Sunday bombings in Tanta and Alexandria, is yet to expire.
On April 9, twin suicide bombs targeting Coptic Christians killed at least 44 people and injured more than 118 in Tanta and Alexandria. Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The mosque attended by the Manchester suicide bomber has been described as a “jihadist” institution, and it has previously been accused of raising funds for an al-Qaeda affiliated terror group.
The Didsbury mosque was well known to Salman Abedi and his direct family. The terrorist learnt the Quran there, his brother taught Islamic lessons there, and his father, Abu Abedi, was a “well known” figure who performed the Muslim call to prayer.
On the ‘Muslims in Britain’ mosques directory, the institution is described as a “Salafi-Ikhwani” mosque, which “is a nicer way of saying jihadist”, according to Ghaffar Husain, head outreach at the Quilliam Foundation, a think-tank that has advised the Government.
Salafism is an austere, fundamentalist strain of Islam, with adherents aiming to live as Muhammad and the first Muslim did in the seventh century.
The mosque’s management is described as Syrian and Arab, and the city’s Libyan community, one of the largest in the UK, reportedly frequents it. The Abedi family lived just a short distance from the building and neighbours have talked about them flying a Libyan flag flying from their house.
Mr. Abedi is believed to have visited Libya earlier this year and, according to friends, returned a few weeks ago. His family left Libya as asylum seekers, and police are probing alleged links to the hard line Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), which was until recently affiliated to al-Qaeda.
“[His farther] Abu Ismail comes and goes between here and there,” a family friend told The Guardian. “I can’t believe [Salman Abedi] would have been radicalised in Tripoli. All those types have been driven out of the city. It must have happened here.
“But what was he doing, murdering all those people. There must have been somebody influencing him. It’s terrible. He was off his head,” they said.
"I am so happy after this confrontation with a black bear during our spring hunt. No wounds except a bruised elbow and ego where the bear threw me down. Genuinely happy that this was a non fatal or tragic outcome. Proving that the black bear is a wild and unpredictable animal. Again so happy with the outcome."
The owner of Ann Arbor's Sava's Restaurant said Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials took at least three of her employees into custody the morning of Wednesday, May 24. She said they were being released later Wednesday.
ICE agents were in the restaurant, 216 S. State, around 11:30 a.m. and had breakfast before entering the kitchen area, where they took three people into custody, said owner Sava Lelcaj. She was not in the restaurant at the time.
"They came in looking for one person, who was not on duty," said Lelcaj.
Instead, the agents started to question kitchen workers and apprehended three people who were taken to ICE's Detroit office, Lelcaj said. Those people are now being released, she said Wednesday afternoon.
Lelcaj said her company, Savco Hospitality, goes through a vetting process to make sure potential employees have the right documentation to work in the United States.
"We do the best we can to hire, to vet and screen and be compliant," said Lelcaj.
This guy made the kid talk until every last person was named. You know what the say about snitches..

A former Diablo Valley College professor was in custody Wednesday evening after his arrest Wednesday afternoon in Oakland, according to county records.
Eric Clanton, 28, was being held on $200,000 bail after he was booked into Berkeley City Jail Wednesday evening. He was arrested on suspicion of use of a firearm during a felony with an enhancement clause and assault with a non-firearm deadly weapon.
Clanton faces a 9 a.m. Friday arraignment hearing at Oakland’s Wiley W. Manuel courthouse.
A former Diablo Valley College staff directory Web page said Clanton, who earned a bachelor’s degree at California State University, Bakersfield, and a master’s degree at San Francisco State in philosophy, worked at the school since 2015, teaching an “introduction to philosophy with a background in teaching ethics, critical thinking, and comparative philosophy East/West” with “primary research interests” of ethics and politics.
Employee records for 2015 and 2016 listed Clanton as a lecturer with the California State University system and a philosophy instructor with the Contra Costa Community College District, according to Transparent California.
Berkeley police were not immediately available to confirm any connection between Clanton’s arrest and social-media-fueled accusations within the last month about attacks during at least one of a series of protests earlier this year.
The cost of harboring illegal immigrants in the United States is a staggering $113 billion a year -- an average of $1,117 for every “native-headed” household in America -- according to a study conducted by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR).
The study, a copy of which was provided to FoxNews.com, “is the first and most detailed look at the costs of illegal immigration ever done,” says Bob Dane, director of communications at FAIR, a conservative organization that seeks to end almost all immigration to the U.S.
FAIR's opponents in the bitter immigration debate describe the organization as "extremist," though it is regularly called upon to testify before Congress.
Groups that support immigration reform immediately attacked FAIR's report and pointed out that it is the polar opposite of the Perryman Report, a 2008 study that found illegal immigration was actually a boon to the American economy. It estimated that illegal immigrants add $245 billion in Gross Domestic Product to the economy and account for 2.8 million jobs.
The FAIR report comes as President Obama moves immigration reform to the top of his agenda, and it is likely to be a rallying point for those who oppose the president. At a speech Thursday at American University in Washington, D.C., Obama argued that the entire immigration system is broken and needs sweeping reforms. Among the changes he said are needed is "a path for [farm] workers to earn legal status," which the president's critics called an opening for a new amnesty program.
FAIR's report argues that there are two choices in the immigration debate: “One choice is pursuing a strategy that discourages future illegal migration and increasingly diminishes the current illegal alien population through denial of job opportunities and deportations. The other choice,” it says, “would repeat the unfortunate decision made in 1986 to adopt an amnesty that invited continued illegal migration.”
At least 22 people died and 59 were injured after a suicide bomber detonated an improvised explosive device at an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in northern England on Monday night.
Hundreds took to social media to find information about the incident as well as their loved ones. Twitter was full of condolences and well wishes. A handful of celebrities even weighed in on the tragic event.
Abbott wasn't the only Texan to weigh in on Monday night's tragedy. Denton County Sheriff, Tracy Murphree took to Facebook.
In his post he encourages the American people to "wake up" and start paying attention to what's happening in Europe.
If you're unable to read the Facebook post above, below is the post in its entirety.
"Pay attention to what you see in Manchester England tonight. Pay attention to what is happening in Europe. This is what happens when you disarm your citizens. When you open your borders without the proper vetting. When you allow political correctness to dictate how you respond to an enemy that wants to kill you. When you allow these radicals to travel to Afghanistan and Iran and simply let them back in. When you give up your city's and your neighborhoods to a religious ideology that says you must convert or die. A ideology that treats women as property, kills gays and women and christians with complete impunity. The left tells us we must submit and accept these radical beliefs and bend over backwards to make sure we don't hurt anybody's feelings. The left wants to cater to the very group that would kill every group they claim to support. Folks this is an enemy hell bent on killing you. Committed to forcing you to convert or die. This enemy will strap bombs to their own body and blow themselves up killing children. I'm sick of it. You better wake up America. While you are distracted by the media and the crying of the left, Islamic Jihadist are among us and want to kill you. What will it take? This happening at a concert in Dallas or a school in Denton County? If we don't do something quick this country will die of political correctness and the fear that someone's feelings may be hurt. It may very well be to late for Europe."

Area 51 is one of the most secretive locations in the world.
Now, UFO hunters at SecureTeam 10 have released leaked footage which they claim shows an alien craft is hiding in the Nevada-based military facility.
The strange video appears to show a flying object hovering in the sky and then flying away - emitting a strange light as it sporadically moves side to side.
'It's one of the mysterious pieces in UFOlogy', said Tyler Glockner who runs SecureTeam 10 on the YouTube clip.
He described the footage, which was believed to have been filmed in the 1980s or 1990s, as a 'hidden gem'.
The unexplained object appears to be getting higher and higher and releases a strange light as the footage goes on.
The Nevada-based military testing facility has been a focal point of many conspiracy theorists and UFOlogists since the late 1970s, who claim that the base houses secretive alien technology.
The sprawling military complex sits between a dry lake bed to the North East, and a small mountain to the West.
Area 51 has been a hot spot for extra terrestrial enthusiasts because the government did not acknowledge its existence until 2013.
It has long been fenced off from the prying eyes of the public, with armed guards swarming the surrounding area.
'Area 51 has always been a magnet for those who believe the US Government knows a lot more about UFOs than they are prepared to reveal to the public,' Nigel Watson, author of the UFO Investigations Manual, told MailOnline.
'People like the late Boyd Bushman, a senior scientist who worked for Lockheed Martin, have declared that Area 51 is a base where extraterrestrial spacecraft and technology is stored and examined.'
Claims of alien conspiracies around Area 51 have largely been debunked.
But the site has been confirmed as a historic test site for military aircraft.
Famous machines developed there include the U-2 spy plane, SR-71 Blackbird, and the F-117A Nighthawk stealth fighter.
Images of the base are extremely rare, with any photographers brave enough to travel there kept far back from the perimeter by the base's many armed guards.
Area 51 is blanketed by a strict 23 by 25-mile (37 by 40km) no-fly zone for civilian aircraft.
Nearby viewpoints Freedom Ridge and White Sides Peak, which offer vantage points looking down on the base, are off-limits to the public.

This German woman filmed her brutal beating at the hands of a group of Muslim migrants who lashed out and called her a bitch after she walked by. When she replied that she was not a bitch the group of migrants suddenly jumped her and began brutally beating her leaving her with the massive hematoma you see currently on the top of her eyebrow.
This is what happens when you import Third World country citizens into a first world nation. Especially a group of people who believe their religion makes them far superior than everyone else.
Three members of the intelligence panel and five members of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs were among the dozens of members who employed the suspects on a shared basis. The two committees deal with many of the nation’s most sensitive issues, information and documents, including those related to the war on terrorism.
The brothers are suspected of serious violations, including accessing members’ computer networks without their knowledge and stealing equipment from Congress.
The three men are “shared employees,” meaning they are hired by multiple offices, which split their salaries and use them as needed for IT services.
Then in March, we noted that House Democrats decided to delay the firing (until today) because their Muslim background, some with ties to Pakistan, could make them easy targets for false charges.
“I wanted to be sure individuals are not being singled out because of their nationalities or their religion. We want to make sure everybody is entitled to due process,” Meeks said.
“They had provided great service for me. And there were certain times in which they had permission by me, if it was Hina or someone else, to access some of my data.”
Fudge told Politico on Tuesday she would employ Imran Awan until he received “due process.”
“He needs to have a hearing. Due process is very simple. You don’t fire someone until you talk to them,” Fudge said.
On Wednesday, Lauren Williams, a spokeswoman for Fudge, wouldn’t provide details about Imran Awan’s firing but did confirm he was still employed in Fudge’s office as of Tuesday afternoon.
Heavily armed Muslim militants are said to have raised the flag of the Islamic State group over a city in the Philippines – as months of fighting in the countryside spilled over into urban areas.Five government soldiers were wounded in the clash after the military obtained intelligence that a top terror suspect was hiding out in Marawi in the Lanao del Sur province.
Regional military spokesman Lt. Col. Joar Herrera said troops and special forces attacked at least 15 fighters from a Muslim rebel group called Maute in the village of Basak Malutlut in Marawi.
‘We’re trying our best to contain the situation,’ Herrera said by telephone, adding that troops were moving carefully to avoid hitting civilians in the area of the fighting.
Officials could not immediately tell with clarity what was going on, and said they were checking reports that the militants had entered a hospital and raised a black Islamic State-style flag.
Now first thing’s first. I did zero research on this student. I have only read comment sections of the video. There is a possibility this student is “special needs”. He was escorted by an adult that did a terrible job at containing him after the first punch. The adult is the first clue he may be special needs. Obviously the second clue was punching the first teacher in the chest area. Third clue was punching a female teacher in the face near the end. Now either he is a complete savage or has something mentally wrong with him. We have always wanted to get that “last laugh” at that one teacher we didn’t particularly like but I’m leaning towards the mental issue.
Tucker Carlson said America must be sure not to "become Europe" and blindly embrace multiculturalism.
He pointed to BBC reporter Katty Kay who he said was treating terror attacks as "something that happens... like the weather."
Carlson said it is important for the U.S. to make sure that each person who immigrates embraces American values.
"If you really cared about America, you wouldn't let it become Europe," he said.
"We do the opposite," he said. "Our leaders worship multiculturalism."
Carlson said France, Germany and other countries openly embrace refugees without regard for possible extremist ideology.
"Defend what you believe or lose it," he added.
Former CIA Agent Phil Mudd openly called for violence against Trey Gowdy after Tuesday’s House Intelligence Committee Hearing with former CIA Director John Brennan.
During the hearing, Chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) repeatedly questioned Brennan on “collusion.” Brennan refused to fall into Gowdy’s trap, however, and refused to rule out possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia because multiple investigations are still collecting evidence
“Trey Gowdy should have his ass kicked. He knows the difference,” Mudd said of Gowdy trying to use the words interchangeably. “If you are an American citizen and CIA is collecting intercepts of Russians of what you said, is it fair to go to court and say that is evidence of something you did wrong?”
Mudd noted that it would take more than a year to investigate “because the American citizens have a right to have evidence presented in a court beyond a conversation of Russian official reports.”
He explained that the distinction is clear legally.
“It is a hard line. It is frustrating for the American people. I hope they don’t want evidence perceived as something a Russian official says. I don’t want to be convicted on that,” Mudd said.
Shocking footage has emerged of a teacher and teaching assistant brawling in a classroom in front of horrified teenage students.
The video was taken at Stone Mountain Middle School on the outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia.
It showed the two women slapping each other around the head and pushing one another into the white board as the children screamed.
The fight began when one woman pushed a desk into the other. The children appeared to be doing work at the time and some had headphones in.
Shocked, the children screamed and tried to approach them to break it up but stepped back as the pair carried on fighting.
They were eventually torn apart by another member of staff who ran in to the classroom screaming 'stop! stop!'
Both women were fired from the school and neither has been named since the footage emerged.
Shocked parents welcomed the decision, telling WBSTV Atlanta that the fighting set a bad example for the children.
In a statement sent to parents, the school condemned the women's behavior.
'The interaction and conduct in the video is completely unacceptable and contrary to our district’s tenets and core principles.
'Those staff members that participated in the conduct have been removed from the learning environment,' it said.
Both women were charged with disorderly conduct in a public space.
