Quentin Tarantino is refusing to back down after calling police officers "murderers" at a New York City rally, which caused police unions around the country to call for a boycott of his new film. During an interview with MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Tarantino was given the chance to apologize, but he appeared to double down on his comments. Tarantino said at the rally he was talking about specific cases like the deaths of Eric Garner, Tamir Rice and Sam DuBose, in which he believes police officers indeed committed murder. "I was under the impression I was an American, and that I had First Amendment rights, and that there was no problem with me going to an anti-police brutality protest and speaking my mind," Tarantino said, adding that doesn't make him anti-police. He said that he believes it ultimately comes down to "a problem of white supremacy in this country."
