An 11-year-old girl was left in critical condition after a portion of her scalp was ripped from her head when her hair got tangled in a carnival ride, according to WOWT.
Elizabeth Gilreath was at a Cinco de Mayo festival in Omaha Nebraska when the freak accident happened on Saturday. Gilreath's long red hair got caught on the King's Crown ride and stayed that way for several minutes while her friend yelled for help.
A woman who was attending the carnival stopped the ride when she heard the screams.
Gilreath is expected to survive and doctors are hoping that she'll be able to one day see again and grow her hair back.
