Columbia, SC, 10 February, 2017 - Dashcam video of the high-speed chase that ended in a officer-involved shooting has been released.
Authorities released the footage of the four suspects being chased at speeds exceeding 100 MPH until they crashed off of I-77 near the Killian Road exit.
The suspects were wanted for an armed robbery that occurred Feb.10 in Waxhaw, N.C. where the four men stole electronics from a cell phone store.
The robbery suspects led troopers on a chase through several counties beginning in Fairfiled County shooting at officers and ended in Richland County after an officer performed what is called a pit maneuver,hitting the vehicle causing it to spin out of the drivers control.
After the crash the four men fled from the vehicle by foot and were later arrested along with another suspect who bought a hotel room for the wanted men.
The trooper involved received minor injuries in this incident.
