An off-duty soldier injured six people when he accidentally pulled the pin out of a hand grenade while showing off to his friends.
The Ukrainian serviceman was with his pals in a packed cafe bar when he started messing about.
He produced the RGD-5 grenade to scare his companions, but he pulled the pin by mistake.
The soldier then panicked and through the grenade under a table.
Six people were hurt in the resulting explosion, three of them seriously enough to need hospital treatment.
The unnamed soldier suffered a shrapnel wound to his face and was one of those who had to be sent to hospital.
However, it could have been much worse.
The explosion was captured on the cafe's security cameras and footage shows customers fleeing in terror as glasses crash down off shelves behind the bar. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
They say that the soldier had gone home on special leave.
