Passersby rescue suicidal woman from a lake in east China

Passersby twice rescued a woman who attempted to commit suicide by jumping into lake in Jiaxiang County of east China's Shandong Province.

The incident occurred in a morning at an artificial lake. Cellphone video footage taken shows the woman in red suddenly climbing over the guardrail of the viewing deck and jumping into the lake.

The woman was sent to hospital and is said to be in a stable condition now. Her rescuer, named Zhang Jianjun, was on a morning jog around the lake when the incident occurred.
