Fox News’ Jon Scott talked this morning about what the Muslim community can do if they don’t like the negative portrayal of Muslims in Hollywood: “don’t burn people alive and set off bombs.”

On this morning’s Fox & Friends, Scott, Pete Hegseth, and Abby Huntsman were discussing recent comments by Homeland star Mandy Patinkin, in which the actor who plays Saul Berenson had this to say about how the show has responded to past criticisms of how it portrays Muslims:

“Particularly in season six, we have tried to be part of the cure, not part of the problem… A different storyline where we’re helping these people and a storyline that shows in this case, in this year, in this season, that maybe it’s the––and it is––the white men in government and the military establishment that are the bad guys, not the Muslim community.”

Hegseth said it’s discouraging to hear that the show is overtly pushing an agenda to “make sure that [they’re] politically correct.” Huntsman added, “There’s not a show that I watch today that doesn’t have a political agenda.”

And then Scott made this observation:

“They’re gonna run the Boston marathon tomorrow, right? Do we remember who the bombers of the Boston marathon were? I mean, just an aside to the Muslim community, if you don’t want to be portrayed in a negative light, maybe don’t burn people alive and set off bombs and things like that.”

Hegseth jumped in to add that Muslims should “point out the radicalism and say ‘That’s not me.'”
