One person was killed and two injured after a taxi plowed into a group of morning joggers in Linyi City of east China's Shandong Province on Saturday.
Surveillance footage showed how the speeding taxi appeared to rush into the back of a large crowd of joggers who were out exercising in the middle of an empty road at around 05:20.
Three people were injured in the incident, with a victim surnamed Shang later dying in hospital.
The taxi driver, a woman surnamed Dong, has been detained for improper driving. The organizer of the exercise group has also been questioned, as a full investigation into the accident continues.
