Joaquin Castro, a Texas Democrat, said recent North Korean threats are a result of the president’s rhetoric.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) blamed President Trump for North Korea’s recent threats against the United States in an interview on CNN on Wednesday.
“Some of these [North Korean] threats have been made because the president has also made his own threats,” Castro told Wolf Blitzer. “We need to allow diplomacy to work instead of going tit-for-tat with a 32-year-old dictator in North Korea.”
President Trump recently promised that North Korea would face “fire and fury” if their provocative actions continue.
