Dramatic new footage has emerged of a white nationalist protester firing a handgun towards a black protester during the ‘Unite the Right’ march in Charlottesville, as police look on without intervening.
The video shows a man wearing a bulletproof vest turning and shouting at a man holding a makeshift torch, before drawing his pistol, pointing in the direction of the crowd of counter protesters and firing a single shot into the ground.
Before firing the round, he appears to shout: “Hey n****r” towards the protester, thought to be 23-year old Corey Long, who had been photographed at the rally holding a makeshift flamethrower made from an aerosol spray can.
