Off-duty policemen form human chain to rescue woman trapped in sinking car during torrential floods

A group of off-duty policemen came to the dramatic rescue of a woman trapped in her car as it was overwhelmed by flood water.

The men waded into waist-deep water towards the car which was sinking bonnet first.

They formed a human chain to get the stranded woman back to dry land, with two men propping her up.

Eyewitnesses filmed the dramatic rescue in the Nayandahalli area in the city of Bengaluru, in southern India.
