A bullfighter managed to avoid death by just centimetres after he was gored in the neck by the rampaging animal.
Arturo Macias, 35, was rushed to hospital after being gored three times, with one wound narrowly missing his windpipe.
In the dramatic footage, he was charged three times by the mammal and attacked while lying on the sand before being carried off with a large wound in his neck.
But he ignored doctors ’ advice to return to the tournament to fight the 1200lb beast as part of a fund-raising festival in the town of San Marco in Mexico.
It was raising funds for an earthquake appeal.
Macias eventually killed the animal before returning to hospital for a life-saving operation.
