A woman on a mobility scooter was sent flying through the air after she drove out from behind a bus and collided with a car.
Heart-stopping footage shows the woman in her 50s pulling out from behind a stopped bus with her front lights on full.
But a car travelling towards the bus doesn't spot her until it is too late - and smashes straight into the woman and her scooter before either has time to swerve.
The elderly woman was sent careering into the road after the white BMW collided with her mobility scooter, sending her hurtling into a nearby parked van.
Miraculously she survived the crash and the shocked car driver can be seen rushing out to help the woman following the collision in Hornchurch, Essex.
The woman was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Onlookers said the injured woman was left "screaming" in the road before an ambulance arrived. Police said no arrests were made.
One onlooker said: "She seems to have got off the bus and gone to cross the road on her scooter behind the bus, so the driver hasn't seen her.
