This is the moment a police officer appears to 'punch' a suspect 25 times in the back - seen in shocking video footage which has only just emerged.
The film clip appears to show police officers - two male and one female -- restraining the suspect on the ground in what appears to be a residential area.
An unknown man who filmed the video can be heard saying: “F**ing hell, big geezer's bashing him right up.”
The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed that the man being restrained in the video is boxer Adam Salman, 27, and that the incident happened in Merton, London, earlier this year.
Officers say Salman was attempting to conceal an item and had 'violently resisted arrest' before trying to swallow bags of cocaine.
He was charged with possession of cocaine and three counts of resisting and obstructing a police constable on Hatfield Mead, Morden, on May 20.
