A defiant shop worker fought off a knife-wielding masked man who attempted to hold up her convenience store - by pulling out a knife of her own.
Lorraine McCalliskey grabbed a small packing knife from under the till after the suspect tried to rob The Mini Market in West Exe, Tiverton, at 10pm on November 8.
The 36-year-old shouted ‘come on then, let’s have a go if you want to have a go’ at the knifeman who jumped back in shock before she chased him out of the store and up the street.
