Thrillseekers trapped UPSIDE DOWN on fairground ride after new £50million theme park opens

Thrillseekers were left hanging upside down when a ride at a new £50milllion theme park malfunctioned.

The tourists were riding the newly-opened "Top Spin" attraction when it suddenly ground to a halt.

The ride's fail-safe reportedly engaged leaving about six riders hanging in their seats.

The unfortunate passengers were trapped with their legs in the air while staff desperately tried to get the ride moving again.

An investigation into what went wrong with the ride at the Daqian Amusement Park in Neijiang City, south-west China, is reportedly underway.
