Five teenagers ‘put their lives at risk’ with an ‘incredibly stupid’ selfie video standing on railway lines with their backs to a cargo train as it hurtled towards them, Russian police say.
The unnamed boys, aged 13 and 14, stood on a branch line of the Trans-Siberian route as the train bore down on them.
Their video shows them ignoring repeated warning signals from the driver to get off the track.
Instead, they laugh, joke, and wave defiantly at the train.
One boy remained on the railways - only fleeing at the last minute, initially ignoring demands from his friend to get out of harm’s way.
