America's Defense Department has been slammed on social media after dubbing one of its gunship aircraft the "Angel of Death".
The tweet featured video of an AC-130 Hercules gunship aircraft firing anti-missile flares to disrupt the path of heat-seeking ammunition.
The US Department of Defense tweeted the video which has since been retweeted thousands of times.
"Her-cu-les, Her-cu-les!" the department wrote.
"You don’t want to be on the receiving end of this gunship, aka the Angel of Death."
But the response online has been cool.
