This is the horrifying moment a woman falls from a hotel balcony in Turkey as she desperately tries to escape a fire on the sixth floor.
Fire quickly engulfed the Alican Hotel in the popular tourist city of Izmir in western Turkey on Wednesday, wounding four people, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.
Harrowing footage recorded by local news outlet Izmir Haber shows two women, who are not believed to be Turkish, trapped on the balcony after fire quickly spread through the building.
A woman wearing a yellow dress desperately clambered out over the balcony but she lost her grip on the sheer wall and plunged from the sixth floor to the street below, reportedly crashing onto a parked car.
Flames charged straight up the high hotel block, shooting dense black smoke high into the air.
