A highways officer was hit by a car and thrown through the air while racing to help a driver at the roadside.
Sergeant Cade Brenchley was sent flying into the stranded vehicle and was left injured by the front wheel.
The shocking smash was caught on the dashcam of the trooper's own patrol car, which he had parked up to help the stranded motorist in Utah, in the USA on Sunday.
The stranded car's driver was the first on the scene and she quickly got out of her car and raced to help the officer.
Another member of the public then ran to the officer's car, grabbed his radio and contacted the control centre to report the devastating news.
