Indiana police have released shocking video of a gun-toting man who ambushed officers with an AR-15 after allegedly killing his neighbor.
Barry Freeman, 51, opened fire on multiple officers of the Evansville Police Department after they responded to a shots fired call along North Kentucky Avenue shortly after 9pm Friday night.
After ambushing officers, Freeman shot and killed neighbor, Jeffrey Kempf, 56, before he was shot and killed by a SWAT Team member of the department.
Police said they aren't sure why Freeman went on the shooting spree, but they believe it may have had something to do with a disagreement with a family member.
The shoot-out lasted for nearly an hour before Freeman was killed. Freeman, who was half-naked, fired dozens of rounds from the AR-15 and a shotgun.
Four law enforcement vehicles, four houses, and two businesses were damaged by the gunfire.
