A politician from President Putin's United Russia party has been caught on camera hitting a schoolboy who dared to insult him.
Police are investigating after a complaint from the teenager's parents against Andrey Odintsov.
But even if the 33-year-old is prosecuted he will only face a fine of at the most 30,000 RUB - about £360 - according to local media.
The incident was filmed by an eyewitness with a smartphone at an event at a school stadium in the town of Lesnoy, just outside the Russian capital, Moscow.
Mr Odintsov, a local politician, walked over to a group of schoolchildren sitting in a grandstand who were reportedly being loud.
