Shocking footage captures a barrage of fireworks and rockets explode in a residential street and hit cars and houses.
Terrified families in Newport, south Wales, say youths blasted the fireworks towards homes at around 10pm on Bonfire Night.
One resident, who wants to remain anonymous, told Wales Online : "People had been firing them since about 4pm but then it just got worse and worse as the night went on. It happens every single year and the residents are just fed up.
"At around 10pm, the police were at the top of the road and a group of about seven or eight youths started launching rockets in to the street, presumably at the police.
"There was so much noise and the street was all smoked up. I have two dogs who were absolutely petrified. The kids started launching rockets in my garden which was crazy."
