A man was left with a head injury after a group of "hammer-wielding" thugs attacked him outside a mosque in London yesterday.
Witnesses say the trio of attackers shouted Islamaphobic abuse at worshippers in Whitechapel as they drove past on Friday, the Independent reports.
Attendees were also reported to have been branded "terrorists" by the thugs.
Some worshippers followed the car, only for the attackers to climb out of the vehicle and attack a man with a weapon, thought to be a hammer.
A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury. The Metropolitan police said it was not serious.
Disturbing footage shows the trio fleeing in their blue Ford Fiesta, with one of them clinging onto the bonnet in a bid to get away.
