A recently released surveillance camera video shows how a veteran protected a new recruit from a grenade explosion during a training session. The incident occurred on December 12, 2018 in Linfen City of north China's Shanxi Province when the new recruit accidentally dropped a live grenade by his feet after pulling the pin. The veteran quickly pulled him down and covered him before the grenade exploded.
