Footage has emerged of a teenage gunman opening fire on a Bronx playground on Wednesday night, injuring two people, before going on the run in a gang-related shooting.
Authorities said the incident occurred around 7pm Wednesday inside Walton Park near the corner of Walton Ave and East 181 St in the Morris Heights neighborhood of the Bronx.
Surveillance video captured the young gunman and an accomplice approaching the park's metal fence.
The shooter pulled a gun from his backpack, leaned over a metal fence, and started firing into a crowd near some outdoor basketball courts.
The people in the crowd took off running chaotically as the shots rang out.
The NYPD told DailyMail.com that the shooting appears to be gang-related but that the investigation is ongoing.
