I shoot mountains...
... and love filming training.
Yeah right, keep training how to shoot while standing upright, easier to hit you that way.
Watch your brothers six!!
That's Recon Hit And Run watch your brothers six, when your in a fire fight and you have them with you, your good to go!!,you become an awsome UNIT!,training is getting ready 4 the real thing,BROTHA!.
it looks like all training to me not combat!...training dont mean you see the most combat than most soldiers like the title says
How much did they pay?
Looks like airsoft... Realy looks like they've got no idea...
Who They Are.
This is the 1st Royal Australian Regiment training in what looks like Timor, (As that is the main place where Aussie troops are stationed at the moment). Black665…Their Reconnaissance soldiers, not snipers. They cannot crawl to their objectives. Yes it limits the enemies field of view of you but as long as you’re fellow soldiers lay down sufficient suppressive fire than you can usually move freely. You need to get to targets quickly and running. It is called bounding and every soldier learns it. devils_advocate...These are not airsoft weapons. Airsoft weapons are replicas and fire six millimetre plastic bearings (BB's). Firing normal rounds out of airsoft weapons would quick literally rip them apart. The most common Airsoft weapon used is the M-15A4 and these are 5.56mm Steyr's which the Australian Army primarily use. Also, shell casings can be seen being ejected from the weapons whilst firing. Airsoft is a team sport much like paintballing and there are no team against team activities in this footage. Airsoft ‘games’ usually has teams that bear either red or blue arm bands and there are none in this video. These men do know what they are doing and I am proud to be a fellow Australian. For more information on airsoft visit http://airsoftaustralia.com.au/all-about-airsoft/ raydad...Yes, training does not mean that they see the most combat but that is not what is stated here. These are Reconnaissance soldiers and recon soldiers are the first boots on the ground of any in any mission that does not have air intel. The Australian Military does not have Predator drones and need ‘eye’s on’ intelligence .Recon teams are there way before the grunts make an appearance.
