I hope he called 911 when he saw these people. If not, his film should be banned.

called "The Bridge", and yes, the filmmakers had the Bridge Patrol on speed dial every moment they filmed. They'd essentially watch everyone walking across the bridge- they'd heard the Golden Gate Bridge is the #1 spot for suicides in the country- and decided to do a documentary on why these people jump and how, if at all, it can be avoided. When they noticed someone lingering, or who looked distressed, they'd call the Cops/Bridge Patrol (they actually have cops assigned to the bridge) who would intervene in many cases. Some people, though, would simply walk along, then hop over. If you can stomach the emotions of it, definitely worth seeing for some insight into what brings people to suicide...

These filmakers are sadistic...don't let them tell you differently.....why do they choose the bridge?...why do they kill themselves?...are you f**king retarded...bridges are easier to get onto then buildings. the height assures a quick death. They are ending their pain. The "Maybe he wanted to fly" remark at the end was not only heartless but the comedic value of the statement is attrocious. These filmakers did this to only settle their urges to film people killing themselves or for the shock value that comes with the footage...Get a real job maggots. You want to help? partition for the government to fence the whole sides of the bridge...works here in Australia...if not then stop bitching about people killing themselves as you and the gov. are only giiving them a quick way to off themselves. Curiosity got me here...disgust led me away. Not for the suicides but for the fact that people are seen to keep walking past these people as the sit on the railing, they could have at least tried to save them yet they just walked by....thats assissted suicide in my eyes and they should feel pretty shitty about themselves.

"Insight into what brings people to suicide"...are you f**king kidding me a**hole...this is not insight...so you reckon that seeing the last 3 seconds of their lives tells us their reasoning before they jump...your an idiot...this footage shows nothing of the psychological mindset and life experiences that led them to stand at theat bridge. That is the insight and it is not shown here...figuring this things out will stop these people before they even get to that thinking.
