  • This Commercial Is WAY over the top....

    I understand the principle behind the commercial but the extremity of that was utterly disgusting... @gunownerdan...... This is the principle so often ignored by both sides in the gun control debate."........It is not ignored....it is the forefront of your arguement at all times...it was like charlton heston's logo...Countries can exist safely and peacefully without weapons in the hands of every civilian....it all comes down to the average individual's midset and whether they could be truly trusted with a firearm...and we know what the answer to that is regarding the US...There is Too many Testosterone driven men and youth with a vessel of power in their hands, and the ease of this is usually too hard to resist, especially when pubity is involved. Never a good idea...My point is that here in Australia we are fine with our laws. We are not a high strung nation like the US and our media still has morals and ethics (For the most part). We have no use for violence until totally necessary. that does not make us weak and our contributions prove this, it is just we don't feel the need for guns apart from out in the country (Rural). I think it also is because we respect the efficiency of our law inforcement as they do not have to cover as much population and landspace as they do in the US and are 98% of the time, very efficient...this is a big factor I think....You all have the right to do what ya's want to, it is just that while you have no gun control, by rights, you can not complain about the high crime, murder and massacres in your country, as the results is of your own actions. I truly do understand your arguement and do on a small level support your freedom to bear arms but it is just that here I see a peaceful lifestyle for all, as gun control is implemented. And there (in the US), I see anarchy without gun control...(And don't say that I only see what is what our media reports here and I don't see the good things), as I study history and world politics, so I access mainly international reports. What works, works...and what has shown to be a problem needs to be fixed....You just "loves ya gun" and can not see a life without it. plenty of other hobbies out there and you can buy food in supermarkets now, so ya don't need to go to the forest and get it....PEACE
