AKRON, Ohio - A 64-year-old Akron man was shot and killed after he reportedly pulled a BB gun on a University of Akron police officer. Akron police Lt. Rick Edwards said the UA officer stopped the car because the license plate didn't belong to that vehicle. Genda pulled into the BMV parking lot. The officer asked to see the man's license and registration and then went back to his cruiser. When the officer returned to the car, the driver showed a gun, police said. "When you perceive a threat, you've got to take immediate action," Edwards said.
