The horrific smash was caught of the jumper's helmet-cam after he leapt from a cliff in in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Looking out from the top of the hill, the man is heard counting down before saying "See ya!" as he pushes off into the air. The jump appears to be going well at first, but soon the man's hands appear in the frame as his parachute becomes twisted, before he is thrown against rocks and crashes to the ground. He survived the accident, but broke his pelvis is three places and spent three months in a wheelchair after surgery. It took him a total of nine months to recover. Speaking about his accident, the unnamed jumper said: “Every mistake is a new lesson. Even if you didn't track well, you have to change the direction of the canopy instead of trying to kick out of the line twist."
