The martial arts stunt group Bir Khalsa , "The Brave Pure", let their skills loose in Armistar, North West India, in a display of weapon play and pain endurance. The group, who practise the ancient Sikh martial art of Ghatka, performed sword stunts including smashing coconuts inches from a man's body while blindfolded, even cutting through one laid on a man's bare neck. One Bir Khalsa member poured salt into his eyes in a display of pain endurance. The form of martial arts that the group practise is nearly extinct in India, with only the 450 members of Bir Khalsa still performing the ancient skill. The team recently beat the world record for breaking maximum number of coconuts placed on someone's forehead with a baseball bat, smashing 59 coconuts in one minute. Bir Khalsa came to national fame when they displayed their eye-popping tricks on 'India's Got Talent', and are now in rigourous training for the upcoming event in Singapore, 'Asia's Got Talent.'
