San Francisco Police have been investigating a brutal strong arm robbery that occurred on October 26, 2015 at approximately 9:55 PM, on the unit block of Stockton Street. In this incident, the victim, a 54 year old male, was beset upon by several suspects as the victim was using his smartphone mapping “App” to obtain directions. The attack was captured by surveillance cameras and the video showed the suspects waiting with several other persons as the victim approached. As the victim approached them, the suspects struck him and attempted to steal his smartphone. The victim retreated, but the suspects advanced on him, continuing their attack until he was knocked to the ground. One suspect stole the victim’s phone and the suspects then kicked and repeatedly struck the defenseless victim as he lay helpless on the ground. The victim, who is a husband and father of three, sustained severe facial injuries which will require reconstructive surgery. Members of the San Francisco Police Department’s Gang Task Force (GTF) reviewed a crime alert from the Central Police Station Investigation Team (SIT). Through an investigation, they were able to identify two suspects from this crime. On the morning of November 25th, GTF members, investigators and patrol officers from Central Police Station and patrol officers from Ingleside Police Station served search warrants at residences on the 200 block of Hahn Street, the unit block of Brookdale and the 1800 block of Sunnydale in San Francisco. Both suspects were taken in to custody without incident. Tristean Duree, male, 19, was taken into custody at the Sunnydale location, while Odis Doss, male, 19, and was taken into custody at the Brookdale Street location. An adult female detained at the Brookdale Street location was later released from custody pending further investigation. Duree and Doss were later booked into the San Francisco County Jail on the following charges: robbery, aggravated assault, conspiracy and each had a bail enhancement added for committing a crime while out on bail from a previous offense.
