Dashcam Shows Suspect Going For Cops Gun

Fond du Lac, WI - Two men were arrested Friday night after one suspect allegedly attempted to disarm a Fond du Lac Police Officer during a traffic stop. The Fond du Lac Police Department released video of the incident, which happened around 7 p.m. Friday night in the 2500 block of Big Lake Road on the Fond du Lac Reservation. Police pulled over the vehicle for driving without headlights. They say the occupants were uncooperative and appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic. The driver continued to resist police demands to step out of the vehicle and authorities had to physically remove him from the car. During the altercation, a passenger in the back seat allegedly reached through the window of the car and grabbed hold of the officer's gun. His attempts to disarm the officer were unsuccessful. Police found a knife in the driver's possession, and a BB gun and pepper spray in the vehicle. The driver and a male passenger were arrested and taken to the Carlton County Jail
