High Speed Pursuit of Suspect, Results In Crash

Brevard County, FL - A man was arrested Tuesday evening after a chase ended with a crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County. Investigators said they were looking for the driver of a Cadillac, following a fraudulent transaction at the Chase Bank on Barnes Boulevard in Rockledge. The suspect was later identified as Jamarel White of Miami, who was wanted on multiple warrants and charges. According to investigators, Florida Highway Patrol troopers spotted the man driving recklessly on Interstate 95. Troopers were following the driver when he crashed into another vehicle while exiting I-95 onto State Road 524. During the chase, White allegedly tried to run down a Brevard County deputy and Rockledge police officer. “It was like being on a wild roller coaster ride, but I don’t want to volunteer for it again,” said Bryan Pendleton, whose truck was t-boned. “Fortunately nothing happened to me, but my truck is completely ruined.” The windshield was busted and the air bags were deployed. Authorities have not released more information on the suspect.
