These astonishing pictures show deep-frozen endangered crocodiles seized by border police in China. Cops in Guangxi stopped a truck on a routine check in in Fangchenggang, near the Vietnam border, and discovered the cargo on the list submitted by the driver was inconsistent with what was actually loaded. They were stunned to discover 70 frozen Siamese crocodiles and tails from 88 Siamese crocodiles. The animal has historically been captured for their skins. The Siamese crocodile is a freshwater crocodile native to Vietnam, as well as Indonesia, Brunei, East Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Burma and Thailand,. The species is critically endangered and is under threat from humans occupying theor habitat. The predator is extinct from 99% of its original range and is considered one of the least studied and most critically endangered crocodilians in the world. More than 700,000 are held on commercial crocodile farms in Southeast Asia.
