He quickly 'saved' himself but adding - just a week ahead of Valentine's Day that - "I don't mean that in a negative way. I am happy." At a rally earlier Monday in Manchester, in an apparent response to the attention his comments received, Bill Clinton admitted he had to be more cautious with his words. "The hotter this election gets, the more I wish I were just a former president and, just for a few months, not the spouse of the next one because, you know, I have to be careful what I say."
