Donald Trump Addresses Chicago Rally Debacle, Blames ‘Our Communist Friend’ Bernie Sanders

At a Saturday morning rally in front of a wild Dayton, Ohio crowd, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump kicked things off by addressing the Friday night debacle in Chicago, in which Trump canceled a planned rally due to widespread protests. Trump told the crowd that the protests were “a planned attack (that) just came out of nowhere,” reasserted that law enforcement had recommended he cancel the event, and blamed some of the protests on supporters of “our communist friend” Bernie Sanders. In characteristic style, Trump wandered through familiar patches of his stump, like talking about “Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” then back to the subject of the protesters, and it wasn’t long before he was issuing orders to throw someone out.
