Bernie Sanders supporters get a Lyft driver fired after recording his anti-Muslim rant

Lyft has banned one of its drivers after an anti-Muslim rant was caught on video. Samuel Granny was traveling to a Bernie Sanders rally in Salt Lake city and captured the heated encounter between himself and his Lyft driver over Muslims. The lyft driver, who is a Trump supporter went on an obscenity filled anti-Muslim rant after learning that his passengers were headed to a Bernie Sanders rally. As the conversation escalated the passengers were told to leave the car. Lyft has since issued an apology, refunded the passengers and banned the driver. Lyft stated that the ban of the driver was necessary over fears of what may happen should he pick up any Muslim passengers. Margaret J. Howell and Jo Anker review the footage on the Lip News.
