At least 17 people have died and a further 50 have been injured after a flyover that was under construction collapsed in Kolkata, Thursday. Scores more are also feared trapped. According to National Disaster Management Authority spokesperson Anurag Gupta, more than 60 people have already been taken out from the rubble. Emergency service personnel and locals are working at the scene in a bid to free those who remain under the debris. The Army has deployed at least four rescue personnel units in order to help with the recovery operation while Kolkata authorities are now appealing for blood donations
