At least three people have been killed and 45 others wounded in a car bomb blast in southeast Turkey. The bombing targeted Turkish police units in central Diyar-bakir. Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene. The volatile region has in recent months seen repeated attacks by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party, as the Turkish military presses a relentless offensive against them. Earlier on Tuesday, two police officers were killed while trying to defuse a bomb. Turkish state-media blamed the deaths on the PKK. Fighting between the Turkish military and Kurdish militias erupted when a ceasefire collapsed last summer.
