Storm rips apart trees, billboards & 20-million baht Thai house A powerful summer storm hit Nakhon Ratchasima's Sikhiu district on Tuesday. Strong winds brought down power poles, billboards and large trees in many areas. Houses and vehicles were also damaged by hailstones. The video above shows the storm ravaging the northeastern province. The local residents overheard on the video are clearly too scared to venture outside in the rain while the dangerous winds are blowing. The video also shows the strong winds blowing over a parked motorcycle at one point. A newly built 20-million-baht traditional Thai house (or pavilion) was flattened into a pile of debris by the strong winds. This comes after lightning strikes killed a woman, 18 cows & 4 pigs, as well as destroying many homes in Nan & Phrae in northern Thailand on Monday night.
