Portland State University hosts BDSM "Puppy Play" workshops as part of "Sex Week"

As part of the “sex week” festivities, Portland State University held workshop/demonstrations on BDSM and “puppy play”. Most people are somewhat familiar with BDSM, but the “pup” community is a relatively new sub sub sub sub culture of the “leather” community. The event featured well known figures and practitioners of BDSM in the Portland area. They talked about dungeons, tops, bottoms, protocols and rules in the community, where to go to actually engage in these activities. They also hosted a demonstration of “puppy play”, where people donned leather hoods in the shape of dog heads, while a current champion pup of some sort, who goes by the name “Turbo”, explained to everyone what puppy play is, how to go about doing it, tips and tricks… Yadda yadda.

Yes, people dress up in leather dog masks and pretend to be puppies for sexual gratification. Turbo warns to not touch another puppy’s tail, as it could be a butt plug. They go on to talk about other types of “animals” that one may see at a “puppy mosh”, which include cats, horses, pigs, and rats. Yes, people put on leather pig and rat outfits to live out sexual fantasies. -- PSU is a publicly funded institution, which receives about $70 Million a year in public funds.
