A French waitress claims she was slapped and called a ‘whore for serving alcohol during Ramadan.
The practicing Muslim said she was serving alcohol on the terrace at the Vitis Cafe in Nice when she was insulted by two passers by.
One of the two men, who were also Muslim, insulted her before slapping her across the face, The Times reported.
The waitress was left with a black eye, but although police have identified the men, they are yet to locate them.
The waitress, who is of Tunisian origin, said: ‘One of them said to me in Arabic: “You should be ashamed of yourself for serving alcohol during Ramadan , if I was God I would hang you”.
She said she replied ‘You’re not God and you cannot judge me.’
Later she added: ‘I didn’t think that in France, the country of liberty, you could be attacked for that.’
We can NOT confirm this is the actual video from the incident. At this point it has only been rumored to be.
