The shocking incident happened at a mosque in the southern Turkish city of Adana. The man reportedly leapt from the floor and ran towards the imam of the mosque in an attempt to grab a microphone. He started to shout that was going to blow himself up but before he could finish he was overpowered by other mosque-goers. They managed to corner him before he was handed over to police. Officers confirmed that the man had a number of handmade explosives on his body. One man told local TV: "A man dressed in black with a beard was shouting to me that he was going to blow himself up and then when he stood up I saw yellow cables around his waist." He said that many people fled, but others tackled the man when he did not immediately blow himself up. The attempted suicide bomber was dragged outside and given a savage beating. He has been named in local reports as Mahmut Kilicaslan, believed to be around 25 years old. Reports suggest he is the owner of an internet cafe known to have travelled to Syria three times. He was reportedly a member of a Chechen fighting unit affiliated with terror cell ISIS. As well as the explosives packed into a pipe, police found a lot of ball bearings.
