A video released Tuesday shows a violent attack in 2015 at a casino by the man killed by police Sunday.
In the video, Jawari Porter can be seen walking toward the exit, hiking his pants up and then, seemingly at random, punching and launching himself at a woman near him.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters released the security footage, taken from the Broadway entrance of the at-the-time, Downtown Horseshoe Casino – now Jack Casino – on July 31, 2015, just before 5 p.m.
Jawari Porter was later killed by Cincinnati police officer Anthony Brucato after a "vicious and violent" attack on an officer, as Police Chief Eliot Isaac described it.
Prior to the encounter with police, Porter was seen on security camera footage putting a knife to a security guard's throat at the Over-the-Rhine Kroger.
