Police have released CCTV of the shocking moment a man dressed entirely in black and clutching a JD Sports bag tried to rob the Day and Night Pharmacy in Derby late on Friday. Just before 11.30pm a man walked into the store in Osmaston Road with a baseball bat demanding money from the till. But the two workers, who were cleaning at the time, fought back - and one of them is seen jabbing at the raider with the nozzle of a Henry. The man then smashed the counter with the bat, sending a number of items flying, before he left. He was seen to retrieve a small, child-like BMX bicycle from behind a nearby white van before cycling off toward Cotton Lane. Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the crime, which happened at around 11.20pm on September 2, and have released a description of the would-be robber.
