Radio host Autry Pruitt marched across a PC minefield to deliver his candid thoughts on the black vote while a guest on Tomi Lahren’s show Thursday, even crediting Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for getting through to the critical demographic with the billionaire’s seemingly blasé and now famous what-do-you-have-to-lose statement.
Pruitt, a syndicated host on UrRepublic, pulled the covers back on what he believes is a clear, end-of-election play for Democrats, one they’ve been playing for several decades but have ramped up out of desperation: to guilt black voters into their camp.
“[Democrats] want to distract from the fact that the … Congressional Black Caucus have done nothing, absolute zero, to help Africa-Americans,†Pruitt said. “They want to distract from the fact that all the sudden Donald Trump came on national TV and said, ‘What the bleep do you have to lose?’ All the sudden, African-Americans said, ‘You know what, Donald’s right. Mr. Trump has a point.’â€
He recently wrote an article on TownHall.com accusing news organizations, namely the Associated Press, for biased reporting, especially around their alleged hell-bent goal of linking the GOP nominee to the Ku Klux Klan. As an example, he highlighted a recent feature piece on the racist organization that described its leaders as supportive of Trump because his “ascendancy in the GOP is a sign things are going their way.â€
“[Democrats] just trying to drum up racism because that’s the only way they know to keep ahold of the African-American vote,†he continued. “Because if you look at the record, if you look at Hollywood elites, if you look at the history of Bill Clinton and the Violent Crime Prevention Act in 1994, he opened up that [black vote] pipeline wide and greased it up — and shoved little brown babies down it … the Democratic Party has done nothing but rhetoric.â€
