Typhoon Megi, which made a landfall in northeast Taiwan on Tuesday, is the third typhoon to hit the island this month. At least 38 people were injured and a million homes were left without power. Packing winds at around 160 km/h, the tropical system blew everything in its way, even a scaffolding atop a building at a construction site. The structure crumbled in the face of violent gales and fell from the 25th floor, crashing on the ground and injuring three people.
