An explosion struck a town in Fugu county in northwest China's Shaanxi Province Monday afternoon, killing at least 7 and injuring more than 90 others.
The accident happened in a building around 2 pm, near a hospital in Xinmin township, Yulin city. The explosion severely damaged houses and cars at the site, and the hospital was also affected.
More than 70 firefighters rushed to the site to carry out rescue operations.
Currently, local authorities are probing into the causes of the explosion. About 94 people wounded in the accident have been hospitalized for further treatment.
